With over a foot of fresh snow, and no one at the mountain today, an amazing day was had by all. It wasn't uncommon to see high fives at the bottom of each run, with laughter and ear to ear smiles all day.

A storm system is rolling in and create very high winds up on the mountain. That didn't stop us from getting the wind blown snow in Laguna. Michelle Parker hikes with the wind at her back for some good turns.

Split Mission

Today was another beautiful blue bird day. Since today was a transfer day and there weren't many campers we decided to go on an exploratory mission to check out a new zone. We had a small crew and were able to move quickly. The mission was a success and the new zone is lots of fun. Randall Stacy sets the skin track on the way out.

Riding and hiking everyday can be very tiring. There are days when I wake up in the morning and don't want to get out of bed. However when the view out the window is the sun rising on the mountains in the distance it makes it hard not to jump right up and start getting ready. Sunrise in the Andes.

Staff Party

Another beautiful sunny day allowed us to take a day venture to a run named Staff Party. This run has everything from an open bowl, to pillow lines, to trees, to a bamboo excursion on the exit. Everyone came out of the bamboo with a smile on their face after the great run we just had. Camper Lucas Zelnick completely demolishes the slope.

Today we went on an adventure. Along the hike out there were certain points where we had to be careful. Getting back to the hotel well after dark left us exhausted but satisfied.

Today was the sunniest day of the entire season so far. We had a jump that we built yesterday that we were able to get to first thing in the morning. Coach Andrew Burns showing the campers how it is done with a first try backside 7.

Good snow and sun today allowed us to take laps in the high alpine. Spent most of the day scoping lines and dropping cliffs. Pete Wentz points it of a drop.

After a few days of stormy weather it finally cleared and we were able to see the entire mountain again. Took some tree laps early in the day while it was fresh, then headed up high once things started to track out down low.

It was cloudy today when we woke up and headed out the door to go ride. However once we got to the top of the mountain and started the hike to the jump spot the clouds started to clear and it became bluebird. The build went quick soon after everyone was sessioning. Condors Searching

When you see condors flying around it is a sign for snow. They are out searching for food before the ground is blanketed in a fresh layer of snow. Today I saw about ten condors, the most I have ever seen in one day. Hopefully this means a big storm is on the way.

I had the opportunity to go out on my brothers boat today which can be very unreliable. However today it ran well and we cruised around the lake. As we went farther north up the lake the wind picked up and the waves increased in size. We hit a few waves that sent water splashing over the bow leaving us soaked and cold in the wind.

Today was one of the best days of the summer. All the new snow is still around so we were able to get some powder early on. A solid session on a jump proceeded to follow.

Another jump session went down today. The sun was out, but some clouds were still around so every now and then we would have to wait on good light to hit the jump.

With all the new snow we still aren't able to get high up on the mountain. However the landings in the lower mountain are filled with snow. We were able to hit a jump spot that we have been eying for long time but have never had enough snow.

Snow was falling all night, and continued to do so all day. There was so much snow they weren't even able to open the mountain. However when it does finally stop snowing and the mountain opens there will definitively be some epic turns to be had.
